thdandeliongirl: my sister’s a Chemist… last year when it wasn’t quite as hot where she lives (Indy) she decided to figure out how to best cook cookies on her dashboard (NOTE: The inside of a car with a darker outside and dark interior - without window tinting - is actually about 80 degrees warmer if just sitting in direct sunlight) She made a few tweaks to lessen the baking time and to ensure even baking (picking ingredients that would break down at lower temperatures - no gooey middle). Of course the sugar didn’t carmelize (and thus help make the cookies become golden brown), she got to work around 9:30am… and they were good to eat around 2pm. With the heat in St. Louis? These babies would have been done by lunchtime.
