I was wondering if there were any chemistry/biology texts that you swear by (you know, anything hands on teach-yourself-at-home types) I graduated with a major in Therapy and a minor in psychology and biology but I wanted to pursue into biopsy or even maybe a chemistry-oriented grad degree. I wish I had a good answer for this but I really don’t =[

I’d put this out to anyone out there whose been doing anything like this? I’ve learned all my chemistry via the conventional secondary school/university route and I can’t claim to have learned much of it on my own.

A really good resource that I could perhaps recommend is Khan Academy.  He, far and away, is my favourite resource for online education (math especially!). He has a series of videos on Chemistry and Organic Chemistry, which, from what I’ve seen of them, are very good. I don’t know if chem will quite be your cup of tea (don’t worry, you’d be in the majority =P) but maybe check a few of them out =]

But yeah, anyone else got any suggestions?
